Technician Mechanical Assembly

Job description

The Machine Assembly Technician must be highly competent and efficient in the ability to assemble precision Machinery by hand. This technician will work with the team and team leader to achieve team goals and meet or exceed standard metrics and commitments. Personal pride and commitment to producing the best machines possible is expected as are personal improvement goals such as quality and quickness of assembly tasks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Some precision mechanical assembly experience either in or outside of school
• Ability to read and interpret assembly prints and instructions
• Required to bring in basic metric tools
• Self-starter. Must be able to take initiative, be reliable, and have strong problem solving skills
• Be able to work within a team environment
• Needs to strive for constant improvement while keeping an open mind
• Need to be able to adapt to a continually evolving work environment
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
• Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, tape measures, etc.
• Able to stand long periods of time and work on, under, and around machinery
• Able to squat, bend, and work off ladders and lift 75lbs

Not Required, but a Plus:

• Electrical Knowledge and understanding of basic circuits
• Experience in wiring machinery
• Pneumatics installation experience and knowledge
• Knowledge of how to use precision electronics metrology equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
